Railway network " Slovak Railways "
Railway transport appeared in Slovakia on September 21, 1840, with the opening of a railway line from Bratislava to Sveta Yur (horse drawn). On August 20, 1848, the first steam-powered branch to Vienna was opened. The company Slovak Railways was established in 1993.
