Jan Sverak ( Czech Jan Svěrák ; born February 6, 1965, атatec , Czechoslovakia ) is one of the most successful Czech filmmakers since the Velvet Revolution (1989), actor, producer and screenwriter.

Biography
Jan Sverac was born in атеatec in the family of the famous screenwriter and actor Zdeněk Sverac . He studied documentary films at the Faculty of Film and Television of the Prague Academy of Musical Art . He and his work received dozens of nominations and awards, including an Oscar , Crystal Globe , Golden Globe and Tokyo Grand Prix . The Oil-eating short film in 1989 won the Honorary Award for Foreign Films from the Student Film Academy and the Special Jury Prize at the Krakow Film Festival .
