Ramu ( Beng. রামু , English Ramu ) is a city in the southeast of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the eponymous district . The area of the city is 22.03 km². According to the 2001 census, 30,386 people lived in the city, of which 52.61% were men, 47.39% respectively women. The population density was 1379 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 34% (compared with Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
