Chronicon Universale - Ekkehard from Aura.
Ekkehard iz Aura ( Latin: Ekkehardus Uraugiensis ; d. 1126) is a medieval German Benedictine monk and chronicler. Abbot of the monastery of St. Lawrence in the Aura , in the Würzburg diocese . The author of the Universal Chronicle and a possible author of the Würzburg Chronicle, important works on the history of the Holy Roman Empire and the First Crusade [3] . A consistent supporter of the papacy in his struggle with the German emperors .
