Guillermo Covas was born in the city of La Plata on February 1, 1915 .

He has been the director of the Anguilla experimental station for over 20 years [2] . His whole life was full of optimism , industriousness and creativity [2] . Kovas was for Agronomy a bit of a Renaissance character [2] . He was engaged in botany, plant breeding, agronomy, soil protection, and environmental improvement [2] .

Guillermo Covas died on August 30, 1995 .
