Vladimir Pavlovich Muravyov (born September 30, 1959 , Karaganda , Kazakh SSR , USSR ) - Soviet athlete - sprinter . Two - time Olympic champion in the relay 4 × 100 meters (1980, 1988). Honored Master of Sports of the USSR (1980).

Milestones Biography

Born September 30, 1959 in Karaganda. Father, Pavel Mikhailovich, worked as a mine tuner, mom, Adeline Iosifovna - accountant in the same mine.

Trained by A. D. Ivanov [6] .

He graduated from Karaganda University (1982) and graduate school GDOIFK them. P.F. Lesgaft in the Department of Biomechanics (1990).

In 1992, in the GDOIFK them. P. F. Lesgaft defended his thesis "Technical training in short-distance running, taking into account the features of the formation of motor programs" for the degree of candidate of pedagogical sciences [7] .

1987-2000 - Lecturer at the Department of Athletics P.F. Lesgaft . In 1989 he was promoted to the deputies of the USSR Armed Forces [8] .

In 2000 he emigrated to Germany.

  • Two-time Olympic champion in the relay race 4x100 m:

  • Winner of the European Cup in the relay 4 × 100 m and a silver medalist in the 100m race (1985).
  • Two-time champion of "Friendship-84" in Moscow at a distance of 200 m and in the relay 4 × 100 m.
  • Honored Master of Sports (1980).
  • He is the champion of Kazakhstan in the race for 200 meters (20.34 s) and the relay race 4x100 meters (39.30 s).
  • Champion of the USSR ( 1985 and 1987 ) in the 100 meter race; champion ( 1983 ) in the 200m race; champion ( 1988 ) in the 4x100 meter relay.
