New Salyn is a village in the Dubrovsky district of the Bryansk region , part of the Peklinsky rural settlement . It is located 7 km northeast of the village of Peklino , on the banks of a large pond (about 80 hectares ) on the Ivot River (a tributary of the Desna ). The population is 74 people ( 2010 ).

Mentioned from the XVII century as part of the Podvyotsky camp of the Bryansk district (also called Salyn or Young Salyn ). In the 19th century , the Olsufievs belonged to the parish of the village of Golubei . In 1888 a zemstvo school was opened. From 1861 to 1924 - the administrative center of the Salynsky volost of Bryansk (from 1921 - Bezhitsky ) county; later in the Dubrovsky volost , Dubrovsky district (since 1929 ). Until 1971 - the center of the Salynsky (Molodosalynsky) village council.
Near the village is a boarding house "Salyn" .
