Biography
Karl Anton Eugen Prantl was born on September 10, 1849 in the city of Munich to the family of Carl von Prantl [3] . He studied in his hometown. He worked together with Carl Wilhelm von Negeli and Julius von Sachs .
In 1877, Prantl became a professor at the Aschaffenburg Institute, in 1889 he moved to the University of Breslau where he became director of the botanical garden.
Prrentl studied mostly lower plants - mosses , lichens , fungi .
