Biography
He began his military career in 1826; from 1839 - captain in the Life Guards of the Hussar Regiment , was subsequently transferred to serve in the Don Army ; in the rank of major general (from 04/27/1868) was for special assignments under the punishable ataman Khomutov . He was a knight of the Order of St. George IV class (for 25 years of service).
Marrying a Don noblewoman Maria Dmitrievna Leonova (her mother, nee Ilovaiskaya , was the great-granddaughter of the famous ataman Count M.I. Platov ), became the owner of large estates in the Taganrog district and left eight children.
