Peschanoe is located on the southern outskirts of Melitopol [1] and from the side of the city it is bounded by Peschansky Creek, the right tributary of the Milk River . To the south of Peschanoye are the fields of the Novyi village council and the village of Sadovoe . To the east of the Sandy River flows the Milk River , beyond which is the village of Konstantinovka .

The south-eastern part of Sandy is located in the valley of the Milk River , the north-western part is on the high right bank. The slope of the valley passes in the area of Pavel Sivitsky lane, dividing the area into lower and upper parts.

The highway M-18 Kharkov - Simferopol passes through the northwestern outskirts of Peschaniy along Bogdan Khmelnitsky Avenue. In addition, the M-14 Odessa - Melitopol - Novoazovsk highway runs through the center of Peschaniy, along the streets of Belyakov, Pavel Sivitsky, Mikhail Oratovsky and Alexander Nevsky . Trucks that are prohibited from entering the city center are really forced to move along this route [2] , but cars usually travel through the city center due to the traditionally poor quality of the roads on [3] Peschanoye. History

Appearance

The first known mention of Sandy dates back to 1862 . It was then that in the prepared draft for the transformation of urban public administration in Melitopol, it was noted that “The area called Melitopol does not constitute a separate settlement, not only rural settlements adjoin it - the settlement of Kiziyar and Peschanaya Balka, but also the population of the city is partly mixed with rural by the population. ” [5]

However, in the lists of populated areas of the Tauride province for 1864, neither the Sandy Beam nor Sandy is mentioned. Apparently, the emergence of Peschaniy and its legal registration as a separate settlement do not coincide in time: only after the approval of the city line of Melitopol , two independent settlements were formed from parts remaining outside its borders - Peschanoe to the south of the city and Kiziyar to the north . [5]

Local historian Nikolai Krylov attributes the emergence of Sand to the 1840s, when the process of eviction of state peasants from Melitopol began . This point of view is also confirmed by the report of the Novorossiysk and Bessarabian Governor-General to the Minister of the Interior of December 19, 1853 , which, in particular, states: “State peasants ... announced that most of them got houses and estates on the south side of the city ", along the road leading to the land of the colonist Lukovich ... and the villagers always had good tillage and melon on it." [5]

Russian Empire

On September 1, 1868 , at the gathering of peasants of the Melitopol Rural Society, it was decided to petition for the allocation of Kiziyarsky and Peschansky plots as independent rural societies. The petition was supported by the Tauride Provincial Peasant Affairs Presence, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of the Interior. However, only on October 17, 1877 , the Main Committee on the device of the rural state decided to “allow the division of the Melitopol rural society into two separate societies”: Kiziyarskoe and Peschanskoe within the Terpenevsky volost. The area of the Peschansky rural society was 7321.5 hectares. [6]

At the end of the 19th century, Sandy grew rapidly, which can be seen from the following table:

In 1874, one-class elementary public schools were opened in the villages of Kiziyar and Peschanoe. [eleven]

By 1886 , a school was already operating in Peschany, [7] in 1887 a library appeared [12] . In 1891, 85 boys and 35 girls studied at a public public school in Peschanskiy [13] . In 1910 , a horticultural site was created at a sandy school [12] .

In 1894, the second Zemstvo public school was opened in Peschanoye. [eleven]

In 1899, a plot of land near the prison for the construction of the Melitopol Zemstvo hospital was purchased from the Peschansky rural society. [eleven]

In 1904, the Melitopol City Council considered the issue of joining the villages of Sandy and Kiziyar to the city. The Duma, in view of the undeveloped nature of the issue, left it open. [eleven]

In 1909, at the Peschansky 2nd School, "in the form of an afternoon shift," the Peschansky 3rd School was opened. [eleven]

In 1915, part of the land of sandy peasants was allotted to the new Orthodox cemetery of Melitopol. [fourteen]

Soviet Union

In 1927-1933, in the villages of Peschanoe and Kiziyar , collective farms “14 years of October”, “Kommunar”, “Dawn”, “Promin Kultury” named after Stalin, who began to obey the city council. [fifteen]

In 1939, the village of Peschanoe was included in the city of Melitopol . [16] By this time, Peschanoe had almost acquired its modern borders, and included the current streets of Mikhail Oratovsky , Belyakov , Belousov , Badygin , Alexander Nevsky , Pavel Sivitsky , Peschansky [17] . The yards located on these streets had large kitchen gardens (so, for example, the gardens of Belyakov St. joined the gardens of Kalinin St. (now M. Oratovsky)). Other streets of the district were later created on the site of these gardens.

In 1941, shortly after the occupation of Sandy by the Nazis, two churches closed by the Soviet government, the church of St. Andrew of Crete and the cemetery of St. John the Baptist, resumed work. After the war, both churches were closed (John the Baptist - only in the early 1960s). [eighteen]

In 1970, the cemetery was closed in the area of Peschanskaya and Belyakova streets in connection with the full use of its territory. [fourteen]

In the early 1970s, the shaky wooden bridge over the Peschansky stream was replaced with new reinforced concrete, and the descent from the mountain along ul. Belyakova was smoothed and covered with concrete slabs. After that, it became possible to launch two ring bus routes, No. 4 and 5, along the streets of Belyakov, Telman (now P. Sivitsky) and Vorovsky (now Monastyrskaya).

Until the mid-1970s, school number 8 occupied 3 one-story buildings. One of them was located on the site of the Ryabinushka kindergarten, the other two are next to the new school building, up and down the street. Mikhail Oratovsky, and continue to be used for educational purposes. The new building of the 8th school was opened by the beginning of the 1976/1977 school year.

Independent Ukraine

In the early 1990s, several summer cottages ("Camomile" of the Motor Plant, "Green Meadow" of the Avtotsvetlit plant) arose on the fields of the Novyinsky Village Council between the Peschany and the Milk River . Soon, electricity and water were supplied to them, and in many areas houses were built and gardens were laid out.

The lilac grove on the mountain between the streets of Belyakov, Ushakov and Pavel Sivitsky Lane was uprooted in the early 1990s, and in its place the construction of three panel five-story buildings was started. At the same time on the street Ushakov began to build a boiler room for their heating. Soon, construction was stopped, the brick boiler house was dismantled in the 90s, and the frames of three five-story buildings still rise above the center of Peschaniy. In 2014, the construction of five-story buildings was continued [19] .

In 2004 - 2006 Peschanoe was gasified. [twenty]

The parish school attached to the church of Andrey Kritsky was founded on Peschanoy in 1898. [22] Until 1935, the school remained primary, and in March 1935 it was transformed into a 7-year-old. In the evenings, the school worked as an evening , teaching adult literacy [23] .

During the war years, the school was closed, and opened again on November 12, 1943, immediately after the liberation of Melitopol [24] .

Since 1961, the school became 8-year-old. The school was located in three one-story buildings, one of which was located on the site of the Ryabinushka kindergarten, and two others next to the current main building of the school. The school worked in 2 shifts, in addition, there was a third shift for working youth.

In 1953, with the goal of "enrolling working youth in seven-year and secondary schools," the city executive committee decided to open a working-class youth school No. 3 at secondary school No. 8 "in the village of Peschanoe." [22]

In 1976, a new school building was opened, and the school became 10-year-old [23] .

The school sports hall has been in unsatisfactory condition since the 1970s. In 2001, an attempt was made to repair the gym, but the repair was carried out poorly, and a few days after the completion of the repair, the ceiling collapsed in the hall. Meanwhile, physical education classes took place on the street in the summer, and in the school corridors in the winter. Repair of the gym was completed only in the 2010-2011 academic year. [25]
