Biography

From a very early age he was engaged in football, gymnastics, athletics. At age 14, he was accepted into the third men's team of the Unitas club, in 1917, along with his brother Mikhail, he played the striker of the first club team.

During the Civil War, Pavel Butusov, in his parents ’homeland in the city of Myshkin, Yaroslavl Province, in 1918 created the Gladiator Sports and Gymnastics Club, one of the first in the country, to play on the club’s football team.

In 1922, Butusov returned to Petrograd, where he played for Pishchevik with his brothers Vasily and Mikhail, for Krasnaya Gazeta and other Leningrad teams. He played hockey on the spot. At the age of 30, he was seriously injured, spent a year in the hospital and finished speaking.

He graduated from the institute, became a major engineer-economist. He worked in Leningrad, Estonia , Latvia , for his participation in the construction of the Kuibyshev hydroelectric station was awarded the Order of Honor .

In parallel with 1933, he worked as a coach for about 20 years. Coached by “Petrel” Leningrad, in 1935 became the first coach of “ Stalin ” (later - “Zenith”) [1] . in 1938 he created the first team of craftsmen in Krasnodar . He was also a trainer in Narva , Tallinn , Stavropol .
