Chandanaish ( Beng. চন্দনাঈশ , English Chandanaish ) is a city in southeast Bangladesh , the administrative center of the eponymous sub-district . The area of the city is 3.88 km². According to the 2001 census, 9678 people lived in the city, of which 51.69% were men, 48.31% were women, respectively. The population density was 2494 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 39.2% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
