History
The railway junction Balashov has three railway stations : Balashov-1 [1] , Balashov-2 [2] , Balashov-Passenger.
Earlier, passenger trains followed through the station Balashov-1, but recently they all stop at the station Balashov-Passenger. The large passenger station is practically not in demand and as of 2011 was under reconstruction. [3]
The station appeared at the request of the townspeople after 1985 , since the Khoper station is located outside the city. Trains running along the main line Liski - Rtishchevo did not directly go to Balashov, so in order to leave the city, I had to travel with a transfer. The only train in the late 1980s passing through the city: Moscow - Kamyshin, traveling through Tambov . At the same time, he stopped at all three stations: Balashov-2, Balashov-1 and Khoper [4] .
