Hajiganj ( Beng. হাজীগঞ্জ , English Hajiganj ) - a city in the east of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the eponymous sub-district . The area of the city is 20.03 km². According to the 2001 census, 42,254 people lived in the city, of which 51.81% were men, 48.19% were women, respectively. The population density was 2110 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate of the population was 43.7% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
