Bancharampur ( Beng. বাঞ্ছারামপুর , Eng. Bancharampur ) is a city in the east of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the eponymous district . The area of the city is 10.86 km². According to the 2001 census, 11,808 people lived in the city, of which 50.58% were men, 49.42% respectively women. The population density was 1087 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate of the population was 28.2% (with an average of Bangladesh of 43.1%).
