Located in the center of Ulan-Ude on the embankment of the Selenga River at ul. Kirova , 1. The stadium is equipped with modern equipment and is able to accommodate 10,000 spectators, the football field has the latest generation Duraspine Ultra 60 artificial turf [2] .
It is the largest sports facility in the Republic of Buryatia. The football team Buryatia (Ulan-Ude) holds their home matches here. Construction
The decision to build the Central Stadium of the Republic of Buryatia was made in 2007 after the announcement of the demolition of the stadium. The 25th anniversary of the Buryat Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and the construction of a sports complex in its place (FSK). As compensation for the demolished stadium, the authorities decided to build another facility, this time from scratch. The embankment of the Selenga River was chosen as the place for the construction of a new stadium. The construction was carried out in the framework of the federal target program “Economic and social development of the Far East and Transbaikalia for the period until 2013”. 450 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget for the construction of the object, and 263.13 million rubles from the republican budget. As a result, the new stadium cost 713.13 million rubles [2] [3] .
Opening
Official part
The grand opening of the new stadium took place on June 29, 2011 and was dedicated to the celebration of the 350th anniversary of the entry of Buryatia into the Russian state.
First match
The first official match took place immediately after the official part of the opening. As part of the 1/8 finals of the Russian Cup among LFK teams, the local Buryatia football team defeated the Irkutsk Zenit-Radian team with a score of 3: 1.
