Khalda ( Beng. হালদা ) is a river in southeast Bangladesh [1] . Length - 81 km. The maximum depth is 9 m. The river is not wide (from 10 to 150 m).

Description
It begins in the Bandatali hills in the Chittagong Highlands and flows into the Karnapuli River . [2] [3] .
In the monsoon season , the river level increases significantly; also increases the speed of the current.
The Chalda River is known for spawning and the natural habitat of the Indian carp (Katla, Latin Catla catla ) [4] [5] .
