Rajapur ( Beng. রাজাপুর , English Rajapur ) is a city in the south of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the sub-district of the same name . The area of the city is 9.74 km². According to the 2001 census, 12,819 people lived in the city, of which 51.17% were men and 48.83% were women. The population density was 1316 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 60.1% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
