Davydchi

Davydchi (Davydchichi) - a village in the Dubrovsky district of the Bryansk region , as part of the Dubrovsky urban settlement . Located at the southern outskirts of the village of Dubrovka , on the right bank of the Seshcha river. The population is 430 inhabitants ( 2010 ).

History

Mentioned since 1457 ; in the XVII - XVIII centuries. was part of the Patsynsky volost of the Bryansk district . In the XVIII century - the possession of the Zasekins , Meat-eaters , Potresovs; in the 19th century - also the Durnovs, Semichevs, Tyutchevs and others. Until 1738 - a village in the parish of the village of Rekovichi ; in 1733 - 1738 at the expense of Prince G.M. Zasekin, the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin was built (not preserved); in 2002 a chapel was built on the site of the temple. Since 1889, a parish school worked. From 1861 to 1924 in the Alesha volost of Bryansk (from 1921 - Bezhitsky ) county; later in the Dubrovsky volost , Dubrovsky district (since 1929 ). Until 2005, it was the center of the Davydchensky village council.

In 2017, the media reported that the villagers asked the authorities to rename the village in Davydchi because of the unpronounceability of the name [2] . The OKTMO of 2019 states as Davydchi [3]
