Jaintiapur ( Beng. জৈন্তাপুর , English. Jaintiapur ) - a city in the north-east of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the eponymous subregion . The area of the city is 2.27 km². According to the 2001 census, 5769 people lived in the city, of which 52.71% were men, 47.29% were women, respectively. The population density was 2541 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 47.6% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
