Kanayghat ( Beng. কানাইঘাট , Eng. Kanaighat ) - a city in the north-east of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the same sub-district . The area of the city is 3.36 km². According to the 2001 census, 4590 people lived in the city, of which men made up 53.7%, women - respectively 46.3%. The population density was 1366 people. on 1 km ². The literacy rate was 31.5% (with an average of 43.1% in Bangladesh).
