Village History
The history of Bukovnitsy, the first mention of which in written sources has appeared since the XIV century , is closely connected with the history of the region of Biskupina . Bukovnitsa, like the other villages of Biskupina, was owned by the Poznan bishops until the end of the 18th century , after which it became part of the so-called Krob economy created by the Prussian authorities. In the XIX century, the peasants of Bukovnitsy were freed from serfdom and received land in their property [7] .
The most significant events for the village of the XX century were: in the 1960s. - conducting electricity, creating a firehouse from volunteers, building a house of culture; in 1979 - the construction of an automobile road to the village; in 1994 - installation of telephones in villages; in 2000 , gasification [8] .
In 2007, Eugeniusz Jendrychka (re-elected in 2011 ) won the election of the head of the Soles. In July 2009, a gale of wind (the strongest in the history of the village) knocked down power lines and trees (including 64 poplars), damaged the roofs of houses, blocked roads, leaving Bukovnitsa without electricity and communications [9] .
