Geographical position
The village of Kamenskoye is located on the bank of the Yanchekrak River at the place of its inflow into the Kakhovsky reservoir , upstream at a distance of 1.5 km is the village of Lobkovo , and upstream the Kakhovsky reservoir is adjacent the village of Plavni . Through the village passes the highway M-18 ( E 105 ). Nearby passes the railway station Plavni in the 1st km.
History
- The territory of the modern village of Kamenskoye has been inhabited for a long time, as evidenced by the excavations of 2 Scythian burial mounds (IV century BC), in which gold ornaments were found. In 1906, the so-called Yanchekrak treasure of silver and gold horse harness ornaments was found on the bank of the river. It is stored in the State Historical Museum in Moscow.
