Biography
His first name Youssoupha was given to him in recognition of the Senegalese roots. [1] His father Tabu Ley Rochereau, under the pseudonym "Seigneur Ley" (African musician) is a singer of Zairian rumba. After birth, he spent part of his childhood in Congo Kinshasa, then he moved to Beziers (Fr. Arriving in France to continue his studies, he lives in Cergy (fr. Cergy) before moving to à Sartrouville in Yvelines (fr. Yvelines) . Receives the title of bachelor, gets a high mark at the Versailles Academy in French, and then turns to literary criticism. After graduating from courses in à la Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris III) , he is fully committed to music.
His first band with des Frères Lumières, consisted of two of his friends, with whom he released an EP.
After several projects, including the album “Tendance” by Bana Kin , in 2005 he released Street DVD: Éternel recommencement puis signe chez Hostile.
He released his first solo album in March 2007, entitled de À chaque frère . Such artists as Diam's , Kool Shen , S'Pi , Mike Génie took part in the creation of the album. The album sold 30 thousand copies.
On March 25, 2009, Éric Zemmour filed a complaint against him for “criminal threat and public insult” after the line from the song “A force de le dire”. [2] His second album was released on October 12, 2009 in an edited version.
