Ducktales: the quest for gold

Scrooge McDuck and Flinthart Glomgold make a deal - the one who earns more money from scratch in less time will receive all the enemy’s accumulated funds. Scrooge McDuck and his nephews begin a journey around the globe in search of new treasures. The Havs brothers and other villains from the famous animated series will interfere with the execution of the task to the heroes.

Scrooge's office is a kind of headquarters. The player has 3 options - to go on a trip, play on the stock exchange or dive into the vault with money, where among ordinary coins you can find rare rare currency units. To play on the exchange, you first need to earn a certain amount of money. Fenton Crackshell (aka Utkorobot) appears as an accountant for Scrooge, but the character does not take any actual part in the development of the game plot.

On the wall in the office there is a map with which the player can choose the destination. The whole game consists of several levels, or mini-games, which are slightly different from each other in structure:

• Climbing ( mountain climbing ) - the main goal is to climb the mountain, avoiding the traps of one of the Gavs brothers, falling stones and bears, Magica De Hypnosis
• Jungle ( persistent . Jungle bashing ) - an arcade game where a player moves on platforms, using also creepers. Enemies - cougars, snakes, parrots and monkeys. With the help of hippos, you can perform jumps.
• The cave ( English search a cavern ) is a maze from which a map helps Scrooge, his nephews and Ponochka get out. In their tracks is a mummy .
• Photographing ( English photograph some rare animals ) - Ponochka is trying to photograph rare animals.

The card gives information about the location, the amount of time required to complete the task (there is a limit of 30 gaming days to complete the task) and the cost of the treasures that the player will receive if they are successfully completed.

In addition, traveling to your destination is also part of the gameplay, where the player controls a Zigzag McKriak's plane, encountering various obstacles. If an emergency landing is made, then 2 days will be deducted from the time margin.

You can play the game only if you correctly enter the code specified in the brochure-instructions for the license of the game. Otherwise, the program returns the player to DOS , recognizing him as one of the Gavs brothers. And this will continue until the player enters the correct code.
