Linsi ( Chinese: . , Pinyin : Línxī ) is a county in the Chifeng urban district of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region ( PRC ). The name of the county means "west of Hoshun Byrin."

History
People appeared here five thousand years ago. Pots were discovered here, presumably from the Neolithic era.
In 1908, Basi County (巴西 县) was formed here, later renamed Linxi (the characters Ba and Lin are taken from the Chinese transcription of the name Hoshun Byrin - 巴林). After the Xinhai Revolution, he became part of the Jhehe Province.
In 1949, the county was transferred from the Jaehe province to the newly formed Autonomous Region of Inner Mongolia, and became part of the aimak Joo-ud (昭乌达 盟). In 1969, he and the aimak joined the Liaoning Province, and in 1979 he was returned to Inner Mongolia. In 1983, aimak was transformed into the Chifeng urban district.
Economics
The county’s economy is based on milk , meat , herbs , fruits , the cultivation of vegetables on an industrial scale, and the formation of a unique agricultural and livestock base. Of the minerals, copper , tin , silver , lead , zinc , iron , fluorite , limestone , marble , ferrous metals , precious metals , and non-metallic minerals have been explored . Livestock farming mainly produces wool.
