According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town area is 91.9 km², of which 86.2 km² is land, and 5.8 km² is water (6.28%).

According to the 2000 census ^[1], there were 275 people, 116 households, and 83 families. The population density is 3.2 people / km². On the territory of the town there are 158 buildings with an average density of 1.8 buildings per square kilometer. Racial composition: 98.55% White , 1.09% Native American, and 0.36% are two or more other races.

Out of 116 households, children under 18 years old were brought up in 25.0%, married couples lived in 66.4%, single women lived in 2.6%, and non-family people lived in 27.6% of households. 22.4% of households consisted of one person, while 12.1% of them were single elderly people over 65. The average household size is 2.37 and families are 2.81.

21.1% of the population is under 18 years old, 6.5% are between the ages of 18 and 24, 26.2% are between 25 and 44, 28.4% are between 45 and 64, and 17.8% are over 65. The average age is 42 years. For every 100 females there are 111.5 males. For every 100 females over 18 there are 106.7 males.

The median annual household income was $ 40,893, and the median annual household income was $ 44,167. The average income for men is $ 35,781, while for women it is $ 18,036 . Per capita income was $ 24,100. Below the poverty line were 2.6% of families and 4.5% of the total population of the township, of which 3.9% were over 65 years old.
