According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town area is 87.6 km², of which 83.0 km² is land, and 4.6 km² is water (5.21%).

According to the 2000 census ^[1], there were 323 people, 115 households, and 89 families. The population density is 3.9 people / km². There are 129 buildings on the territory of the town with an average density of 1.6 buildings per square kilometer. Racial composition of the population: 97.83% of whites , 0.93% of African Americans , 0.62% of other races in the USA and 0.62% of two or more other races. Spaniards or Hispanics of any race made up 1.24% of the township population.

Out of 115 households, children under 18 years old were brought up in 37.4%, married couples lived in 67.8%, single women lived in 6.1%, and non-family people lived in 22.6% of households. 20.0% of households consisted of one person, while 7.0% of them were single elderly people over 65. The average household size is 2.81 and families are 3.25.

31.3% of the population is under the age of 18, 6.2% are between the ages of 18 and 24, 23.8% are between 25 and 44, 26.3% are between 45 and 64, and 12.4% are over 65. The average age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 118.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 124.2 males.

The median annual household income was $ 38,929, and the median annual family income was $ 41,563. The average income for men is $ 30,250, while for women it is $ 17,083 . Per capita income was $ 14,493. Below the poverty line were 6.3% of families and 5.9% of the total population of the township, of which 4.0% were under 18 and 11.1% were over 65.
