Gerasim Ilyich Bulychev was written according to the Moscow list “to the nobility” and was granted to estates from the great sovereigns of tsars and grand dukes John Alekseevich and Peter Alekseevich in 1687 with a letter. The Bulychev family is included in the 6th part of the Noble family tree of the Smolensk province .

Emblem Description
In a shield, divided diagonally to the upper left corner in a blue field, a hand with a saber emerging from the clouds is depicted. In the golden field is a red fortress.
The shield is crowned with a noble helmet and a noble crown, on the surface of which a hand with a saber bent in armor is indicated. The bastard on the shield is blue, covered with gold. The shield is held by two lions with their heads turned to the side.
