The river begins in the hills 8 kilometers northeast of the village of Kirta . The general direction of the current is north, in the upper reaches the river runs parallel to Pechora, east of it, is separated by a ridge of hills (the highest point is the Ydzhid hill with a height of 173 m NUM). The entire course passes through an uninhabited, hilly taiga. It falls into Schugor, 10 km southeast of the village of Ust-Schugor , 200 m below the mouth of the Medvezhya . The width of the river along its entire length does not exceed 10 m, there are no named tributaries [2] .
