Varlaam (Bishop of Vologda)

Bishop Varlaam - Bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church , Bishop of Vologda and Great Perm .

In 1576 he was ordained bishop of Vologda and Great Perm .

He was a member of the Cathedrals in Moscow in 1580 and 1584.

Under him, Siberia was annexed to the diocese and, by decree of Ivan the Terrible, he sent 10 priests and their families to new lands.

Last mentioned in 1584. In 1585, Bishop Anthony was appointed to the Vologda department.
