The October rural settlement is a municipality in the western part of the Komsomolsky district of the Ivanovo region with its center in the village of October .

History
The October rural settlement was established on February 25, 2005 in accordance with the Law of the Ivanovo Region No. 43-OZ [2] . It included the settlements of the abolished October Village Council .

Economics
In the settlement there is a workshop for the production of electrical products (LLC "Arta"), a bakery, 3 shops. Agriculture is represented by private household plots.
Infrastructure
There is a House of Culture, a library, a secondary school, and a kindergarten. There are a post office, a branch of Sberbank of Russia, a pharmacy. Medical care is provided by an outpatient clinic located in Oktyabrsky.
