Biography
The family came from the small village of Sitaria, now Rosno in the town of Florina , but Peggy Zina was born in the Greek capital. There she began to study music at an early age, she studied the piano from the age of 5. At school she was also fond of dancing and participated in school theater productions.
However, to conquer the popular Greek pop scene, Peggy Zina went to Thessaloniki , where she released her first album in 1995 under the title “Πέγκυ Ζήνα”. Almost immediately, she began to sing with such well-known musicians in the country as Lefteris Pandasis , Notis Sfakianakis , Sakis Rouvas , Elli Kokkinu and others.
The second disc Ανέβαινες was released in 1998 in collaboration with Alekos Chrysergis and Spyros Jatras . Currently, the singer is touring with Yannis Plutarchos and Nikos Kurkulis . In the fall of 2001, the third album “Ένα χάδι” appeared, which is considered the most successful for the whole career of Peggy Zina to this day.
The following year, Thanos Kaliris offered her a song called “Love is a wonderful thing” for her performance in the national Eurovision qualifying round. Until the last moment, the song remained a favorite, however Michalis Rakindzis with the song “SAGAPO” left Zina in second place.
After 5 years working with Nitromusic , Peggy began working with the Greek branch of EMI Music - Minos EMI. The 5th album "Μαζί σου" was released, which very quickly became gold, and in January 2004 platinum. Songs for this album were written by the best Greek musicians, including Georgios Mukidis , Stelios Chronis , Georgios Kafedzopoulos , Petros Imvrios , Kyriakos Papadopoulos . After the first draw, the album was reissued, incorporating new songs in a duet with Nikos Vertis .
In 2005, the album Νόημα and the collection of 1995 - 1998 Τα πρώτα χρόνια were released. Peggy Zina records several hits from Antonis Remos , Natasha Theodoridou , Nikos Vertis and others. In June 2005, the singer performed a large concert tour in Australia . The performances of --ερά οδός in Athens with Paschalis Terzis became significant in Zina’s career. In 2009, the album "Το Πάθος Είναι Αφορμή" was released.
The last album of the singer “Ευαίσθητη ή λογική” was released on October 12, 2010 [1] [2] . During the winter season 2012 - 2013 Peggy Zina performs with Dimos Anastasiadis at the Cosmostage club. Amaryllis and Lucas Yorkas also participated in the program [3] .
