Geography

Borok is located in the middle reaches of the Northern Dvina on the right bank, at the mouth of the River Tёda . From the stopping point Borok to Arkhangelsk along the river - 380.0 km , to Bereznik - 74 kilometers. Below Bork, along the course of the Northern Dvina, are the village of Topsa and the village of Selmenga , and on the opposite bank is the village of Seltso .

The highway " Ust-Vaenga - Osinovo - Shilenga - Korbala - Rostovskoye - Konetsgorye - Rochegda - Kurgomen - Topsa - Sergeevskaya - Selmenga - Gorodok - Mikhailovskaya - Gridinskaya - Zadorikha - Skobely - Faluyki " passes through Gridinskaya .

History

Borok is an ancient village. It is first mentioned as one of the settlements in the Statute of Prince Svyatoslav in 1137. " [2] .
