Peter Paige is an American actor, director and producer, best known to the audience for the role of Emmett Hanikatt in the series " Close Friends (American version) ", an open gay [1] .

Biography
Connecticut native Peter Page began to be interested in theater art at an early age. Already in the lower grades of the school, he played a scarecrow in the play " The Wizard of Oz ."
While in fourth grade, Peter acted as a screenwriter , director, and actor in the play Grease: The College Years, which was his own original interpretation of the popular film Grease. In high school, Peter improves acting, is involved in writing plays and staging them. In the years of study at the Theater School of Boston University, Page received a full scholarship, and then graduated with honors from this educational institution [2] .
Later, he began to take part in theatrical productions, first in New York, and then in Portland ( Oregon ). The actor's debut took place on television, where he starred in the TV series "The Unpredictable Susan" (Suddenly Susan) and "Will and Grace" (Will & Grace). Peter participated in television productions, not only as an actor, but also as a screenwriter and director. His completely independent work was the 2005 film Say “Uncle” (Paige acted as a screenwriter, producer, director and played the main role) about the public reaction to people suspected of pedophilia and homophobia in suburban areas [2] .
From 2000 to 2006, Peter starred in the American-Canadian television series Close Friends about the life of a company of friends in Pittsburgh . The film was very popular among gays and lesbians , including in Russia, due to the truthful depiction of their lives, the problems that they face in a homophobic society, the joys that they experience together [3] .
In 2008, Paige made the film “Leaving Barstow.”
