Chicitano is one of the Native American languages, spoken in eastern Bolivia , in the department of Santa Cruz . There is information about the media in Brazil . One of the 37 official languages of Bolivia.

Chiquitano refers to isolate languages, in some classifications it is referred to as macro macrofamily. The number of carriers varies greatly from source to source. With an ethnic group of more than 47,000 people, only about 6,000 people speak the language. Other sources report 20,000 carriers [1] .
Chicitano Language Spread
There are several dialects: concepcion, san-javier, san-miguel (most distinct from others), etc. There is a grammar of the language and a normalized alphabet for writing chiquitano.
