Andrew "Andy" Newell ( born Andrew November 30, 1984 , Bennington ) is an American skier , a participant in two Olympic Games, and a medalist at the World Cup. Specialist sprint racing.

Newell made his World Cup debut in March 2006 , when he first made the top three at the World Cup stage in the sprint. In total, today it has 3 hits in the top three at the stages of the World Cup, all in the sprint. Newell's best achievement in the overall World Cup standings is 19th in the 2009-10 season.
At the 2006 Olympics in Turin, he became 13th in the team sprint and 16th in the personal sprint.
At the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, he started in three races: sprint - 45th place, team sprint - 9th place, relay race - 13th place.
During his career, he participated in five world championships , the best result is 5th place in the sprint at the 2007 championship in the Japanese Sapporo .
Uses Fischer skis, boots and Salomon bindings.
