Biography
Player's career: 1972-1977, 1978-1979 - Avtomobilist ( Dnepropetrovsk ), 1977-1978, 1979-1983 - ChGS / Polytechnic ( Odessa ).
Coach career: 1983-1992 - Polytechnic ( Odessa ), double coach; 1992-1995 - Torpedo ( Odessa ), head coach; 1995-2000 - Dorozhnik-SKA ( Odessa ), coach; 2000-2002 - Themis ( Odessa ), head coach; 2002-2007 - Nitrogen ( Cherkasy ), head coach; 2007-2009 - Impeksagrosport ( Cherkasy ), head coach.
Champion of Ukraine ( 1997 , 1998 , 1999 , 2006 ), silver medalist of the championship of Ukraine ( 1996 , 2000 ), bronze medalist of the championship of Ukraine ( 1993 , 1994 , 2003 , 2005 , 2007 ). Winner of the Cup of Ukraine ( 1996 ).
He brought Cherkasy “Nitrogen” to the “Final Four” of the European Top-Team Cup 2003 (4th place).
He headed the national team of Ukraine (2006-2008), the youth team of Ukraine (1994-1999).
In the 2010/11 season, he worked as the head coach of the major league team “A” of the Russian championship “Hope” ( Serpukhov ). This was his first experience in the women's volleyball team, under the direction of Borodaenko, "Nadezhda" took 4th place in the championship .
In the offseason of 2011, he was appointed head coach of the Ukrainian Krymsoda Super League team ( Krasnoperekopsk ).
