Originally from the village of Candle (now - the district center in the Kirov region). He graduated from the Surikov Institute , taught at the Moscow Secondary School of Art (Moscow Art School) . The author of many filmstrips . In painting, he specialized in Russian landscapes, portraits and the Pushkin theme. The author of illustrations for the works of Pushkin [1] .
Friend and classmate K.K. Sokolova .
Member of the Russian Union of Artists [2] .
Children: Vladimir and Vera. Three grandchildren. Descendants of the artist live in Moscow, Riga and London.
He was buried in Radonezh .
