A year later, in connection with peat mining, the village of Pershino appeared in these places. The school in Pershino appeared in 1952 and was rebuilt in 1992. To transport peat from the village in 1942, a narrow gauge railway Kirzhach - Pershino was built.

The name of the settlement came from the river Pershi, which, when draining the marshes for peat mining, went underground.
