Shichenga (Schminga) is a river in the Vologda Oblast of Russia . It flows through the territory of the Syamzhensky district . It flows into the river Syamzhenu 34 km from its mouth on the right bank. The river is 49 km long.

Sichenga flows from the eastern part of Sichenga Lake , in the upper reaches it winds through the Sichenga swamps surrounding the lake. In the swamps it takes on the right one of the largest tributaries - Nishmu , after which it begins to flow to the northwest. After the confluence of another major tributary, Bohtyugi abruptly turns to the south-west and flows into Syamzhena , 8 km east of Syamzhi . The entire course of the river runs through an uninhabited, sometimes swampy forest. The current is weak, the channel is extremely winding, the source and mouth of Shichenga are separated in a straight line of 12 km, while the total length of the river is 49 km.
