The source of the river in the Oktyabrsky district of the Kostroma region, 30 km east of the city of Bogovarovo near the border with the Kirov region. Near the source is the source of Sosnovka , here passes the watershed of Moloma and Vetluga . Soon after the source, it flows into the Darovsky district of the Kirov region, along which most of the current passes. It flows northeast along an uninhabited forest. Tributaries - Night, Ponomarevka, Middle (left); Belnitsa, Kholunitsa (right).
