The upper course of the river passes through the territory of the city of Kirov . The source of the river in the Mirny microdistrict ( Leninsky district ) on garden plots near Schorsa Street. The river flows through the urban area to the north-east, near the Kirov-Kotlas station, turns to the north-west and flows through the Oktyabrsky district . Having left the city line , the city of Kirov continues to flow through the territory of the municipality , the village Monastyrskaya flows and flows into the lateral channel of Vyatka, also known as Lake Prorva.
