Biography

Born on August 30, 1905 in the town of Gorodok, now the Vitebsk region of Belarus, in a working class family. Russian

He graduated from public school. He studied at a vocational school, while working in a system of railway workers, and then at a sawmill. In 1925 , after the family moved to Leningrad , he worked as a mechanic at the Baltic Plant.

In the Red Army was in 1926-1935 in the border troops. In 1927 he graduated from the school of medicinal assistants at the Military Medical Academy. Since 1935 - in stock for health reasons. Returning to civilian life, he worked as a paramedic in the I. I. Mechnikov hospital. In 1936 he entered the 2nd Leningrad Medical Institute.

As a student at a medical school, Alexander Sobolevsky set sail during the holidays in August 1937 with a hydrographic expedition on the icebreaker " Georgy Sedov ", having made an Arctic drift with the crew of this vessel in the ice of the Arctic Ocean, acting as a ship's doctor. After resting in a sanatorium, Sobolevsky began training at the Naval Medical Academy.

During the Great Patriotic War , in July - September 1941, A.P. Sobolevsky participated in battles on the Leningrad Front . In 1945 he graduated from the Naval Medical Academy and was left with her to improve in the field of epidemiology. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1944 .

After the war, A.P. Sobolevsky held senior positions in the naval medical service system: senior inspector of the Medical Directorate of the Military Medical Service, deputy head of the medical department of the Leningrad naval base of the Red Banner Baltic Fleet , head of the medical service of the Leningrad Higher Naval schools.

Since 1959, the colonel of the medical service A.P. Sobolevsky - in stock.

He lived in the city of Pavlovsk (within Leningrad), until 1978 he worked as the chief physician of the city House of Health Education in Leningrad.

He died on January 12, 1988 . He was buried in Leningrad at the Theological Cemetery.
