For 8 years, Abby Jensen has created a list of her sixteen desires, which she plans to fulfill on the day of her 16th birthday. The desires are very different - to meet a star, have fashionable clothes, love sushi, throw the best sixteen party in the world.

Abby's best friend, Jay, is in love with her, but does not talk about his feelings. And at school, Jay's former best friend Krista Cook is constantly competing with Abby. Krista has a birthday on the same day as Abby, and each time she spoils her holiday. Abby does not like that everyone treats her like a child.

And on her sixteenth birthday, someone gives her a box with 16 candles . It is necessary to light and blow out the candle with the desired number - and the wish comes true. Abby is thrilled. But Jay every time less and less like this magic. Finally, Abby makes a wish to stop treating her like a child. And everything is changing. She understands that she is no longer 16 years old, but 21, she is an adult woman, and her best friend does not remember her. And after 12 a.m., everything that happens can not be changed.

Nevertheless, having managed to make Jay believe that she is his best friend, Abby makes a true wish and returns everything back. She puts up with Krista and finds out the true reason for her dislike for her. She also builds relationships with parents and understands how good it is to remain a child.
