The range of kashubiya in the territory of distribution of Kashubian dialects [1]
Kashubenie ( Polish. Kaszubienie , Kashubian. Kaszëbienié ) is a phonetic phenomenon in the Kashubian language associated with a shift in the pronunciation of hissing consonants, considered in the same row as masuria and apple-tree in Polish dialects . Kashubiya is a hardening of the etymologically soft ć , ś , ź , ʒ́ , which led to the coincidence of the series ś, ź, ć, ʒ́ and s, z, c, ʒ in a series of hard consonants s, z, c, ʒ : kashubsk. swiat, zëma, zemia, rodzëc in Polish. świat, zima, ziemia, rodzić ( Russian light, winter, earth, give birth ) [2] .
The possible time of the appearance of kashubiya is the period between the XIII and XVII centuries .
