Biography
Ilya Nisonovich Shtilman was born on December 3, 1902 in Kiev .
He studied at the Kiev Art College (1917-1920) and the Kiev Art Institute (1920-1927) with N. Burachek , F. Krichevsky , L. Kramarenko . Then he taught at the Kiev Art Institute ( 1933 - 1964 ). He was rector of the Kiev Art Institute ( 1940 -
Exhibitions
Personal exhibitions were organized at the National Art Museum of Ukraine in 1970, 1982 (on the occasion of the 80th birthday of the artist), 1992 (on the occasion of the 90th birthday), 2003 (on the occasion of the 100th birthday).
From November 1 to November 28, 2012, the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture of Ukraine (20 Smirnova-Lastochkina Street) hosts an exhibition on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the master [1] .
