Er-Rayyan [1] ( Arabic: الريان ) is a city located in the eponymous municipality of Qatar . It is the second largest city of Qatar after the capital - Doha . According to the 2010 census, the number of residents of the city is 392,428 people [2] .

Sport
There are two football teams in the city, Ar-Rayyan and Al-Garaf .
The Ahmed bin Ali city stadium [3] hosted some of the 2011 Asian Cup matches, which took place from January 7 to 29.
There is also Ar-Rayyan volleyball team , which took 2nd place at the Club World Cup in 2014, and a basketball team .
