The administrative center is the village of Vasilkovo .
It was founded in 2005 and included part of the territory of the Vasilkovsky rural district.
By the law of the Tver region dated December 17, 2015 No. 119-ЗО [1] , by combining them, Sokolnichesky, Vasilkovsky and Rantsevsky rural settlements were transformed into Sokolniki rural settlement .

Along the north-eastern border is the Osuga River .
The Torzhok - Soblago railway runs through the settlement.
Economics
The main agricultural enterprise is the Svetly Put collective farm .

According to the 2002 census - 415 people, as of 01.01.2008 - 363 people.

Former settlements
The villages of Krylatka and Churilovo (Churilov-pogost) are attached to the village of Vasilkovo .
The village of Zubarevo entered the line of the city of Kuvshinovo .
On the territory of the settlement, the farms Early Morning, Dawn, Machine Tools, Mashki and others disappeared.
History
In the XI-XIV centuries. The settlement territory belonged to Novgorod land . In the XV century, it was annexed to the Grand Duchy of Moscow and was located on the border of Novotorzhsky and Rzhevsky volosts. In the 17th century, it belonged to the Churilov volost of the Rzhevsky district.
With the formation in 1796 of the Tver province, the territory of the settlement entered Novotorzhye uyezd . In the middle of the XIX-beginning of the XX centuries, the villages of the settlement belonged to the Tysyatsky volost of Novotorzhsky district .
In the 50s of the 20th century, the Vysokovsky village council of the Kamensky district of the Kalinin region existed on the territory of the settlement.
