The name Politkovskikh comes from the ancient Polish gentry. Ivan Savin, the son of Poletik , traveled to Russia with his uncle Ivan Poletik in old years. This son of Ivan, Gerasim Poletika in ancient times, was renamed Politkovsky.

The descendants of this kind of Russian Throne served in different ranks. By the definition of the Little Russian Nobiliary Assembly, the Politkovskikh genus is included in the noble family book.

  • Gerasim Ivanovich Poletika (Politkovsky)
    • Fedor Gerasimovich (1753-1809) - Professor of Moscow University.
    • Roman Gerasimovich (1744-1744) - the priest.
      • Nikolai Romanovich (1777–1831) - Chernihiv vice-governor, translator.
    • Gabriel Gerasimovich (1770-1824) - senator; secret advisor.
      • Alexander Gavrilovich (? —1853) - the swindler, known for waste of the invalid capital.
      • Vladimir Gavrilovich (1807–1867) - General, Chairman of the Board of the Russian-American Company.
      • Rostislav Gavrilovich (1805-1858) - State Councilor.

Emblem Description

The shield is divided horizontally into two parts, of which at the top, cut in two, in the right blue field, a silver pentagonal star is depicted. In the left silver field, a hand in armor, emerging from the clouds, holds three arrows, with their tips pointing down to the red heart. In the lower part, in a golden field, a floating boat is visible along the river with a flowing sail attached to the stern, which features a golden cross.

The shield is crowned with an ordinary noble helmet with a noble crown and three ostrich feathers on it. Basting on the shield is red, enclosed in gold. Under the shield is the inscription: Deo duce.
